DIVISIONS & GRADES

SHETLAND

T-ball, Pre-K / K

This introductory program teaches the basics of baseball; from batting off a tee and coach pitching, to base running, fielding, and understanding simple game rules. Each session includes a short practice followed by a 60 minute game. Players must be at least 4 years old by May 1 to participate.

PINTO JR

Coach Pitch, Kindergarten

4 inning games focused on building baseball fundamentals and offering instructional gameplay; a perfect next step toward real baseball, beyond Shetland.

PINTO 1

Coach Pitch, 1st Grade

Players will dive into the fundamentals of baseball with a focus on throwing, fielding, hitting, baserunning, and sportsmanship. Each week includes 2, 6 inning games and 1 practice, giving players ample time to develop their skills. The season wraps up with exciting playoffs and a championship game!

PINTO 2

Coach Pitch, 2nd Grade

Players will build on their skills, still focusing on throwing, fielding, hitting, and baserunning. With 2 games and 1 practice per week, they'll continue to develop both their confidence and understanding of the game. The season concludes with exciting playoffs and a championship game!

MUSTANG 3

1/2 Coach Pitch, 1/2 Kid Pitch, 3rd Grade

Players step up their game by learning more advanced baseball skills, including pitching to opposing batters and catching. Key game components like stealing, bunting, and walks during player pitched innings are introduced. With 2 games and 1 practice per week, they'll sharpen their fundamentals. The season wraps up with an exciting All-Star game, playoffs, and championship!

MUSTANG 4

Kid Pitch, 4th Grade

Players now take full control of the mound with player pitched innings. Emphasis shifts to refining essential skills like pitching, catching, stealing bases, and bunting. With 2 games and 1 practice per week, they'll continue to build confidence and mastery of the game. The season culminates in an exciting All-Star game, playoffs, and championship!

BRONCO

Kid Pitch, 5th & 6th Grade

Players continue refining their skills, now pitching against opposing batters on a larger diamond! There is a deeper focus on improving techniques like stealing bases, bunting, and mastering pitching and catching. With 1-2 games and 1 practice each week, players will continue to grow their abilities and confidence. The season wraps up with an exciting All-Star game, playoffs, and championship!
